Well... Call me a slacker. Or what you will. I have not posted on this blog for over a year. My travels and motivation have slowed, for the start of 2011 came with cold weather and snow. And now, seasons have passed, attitudes have changed, and feelings have been expressed. Summer is here! It must be time to travel...
Due to some unforeseen news from the landlord, an opportunity has risen. Prayers were answered and fate is calling.. She did not extend our lease. That being said, apartments are very expensive for what you get, and moving is no fun. Therefore, a decision had to be made. Travel west, or slave it for a new apartment? West it is...
At the end of this month Sherry and I will set down the norms of society to embark on a road trip across the states to California, exploring the vast landscapes of the Sierra Nevada. This will be Sherry's first visit west of the Mississippi river. I'm happy to share this experience together.
On the way, we will visit friends, national parks and sites of interest, before seeing Phish play at a couple of the most spectacular concert venues in the West. Its nice to have some entertainment lined up. Really can't wait... Under 4 weeks and counting. I will be posting throughout our trip, sharing pictures and stories that we gain from our journey. Stay tuned... Happy 4th of July!!

Lawn boy
Haven't posted in months... Not much exciting here in Beverly. For the last months I've been working landscape to pass the time and make some cash for travel. This has been very good to me. I have learned a bunch about the equipment and techniques used to tidy up a property. I enjoy being outside and getting irie, all day... while soaking up the sun rays. I haven't climbed too much due to a finger tweak, and humid, hot conditions.
Although, we have got some late spring climbing footage for the movie and everything is looking good. Can't wait to get much more. Sully has been ticking most of the classics and it has been fun to watch. Hopefully, I can invest in better gear for fall session. That's when its really on!!! Hoping to heal up and work my fitness up steadily till then.
Phish is less than two weeks away and the vibes are building for a good run of shows. I am hitting at least seven straight via the Northeast. Pumped!! Hoping to enjoy, and then back to work for a month before EUROPE.... details to follow. Peace

Spring on Cape Ann
The weather is starting to warm up and now is time to get in some climbing in before the heat and bugs soon take over. I have done some problems throughout Gloucester and hope to make it outside a bunch in the coming weeks... I need to shed some weight and get back to peak performance, for the winter had its impact... I've been mountain biking and climbing non-stop since my return and hope to get some inspiration through the sunny days. I will be conditioning hard until Mid-June and then taking a hiatus for Phish tour... Got all my tickets and its looking good!
Haven't decided on the next journey, but I have a few ideas. For now, I must buckle down, save and prepare. All this traveling is taxing on your body and mind. It feels nice to have a break from the stresses of traveling and focus on the bigger picture. I hope to film a climbing movie this spring, featuring North Shore boulders and climbers, covering the classics of the area. I look forward to working on this throughout the upcoming months. - Blessings

Greetings homies! I'm back to bad ass Beverly. Come check out NSRB rage at Finz in Salem tomorrow night at 8pm. We are happy to collaborate with Murph for a great local cause(Beverlybootstraps.org) and happy to provide the entertainment for the event. The California Desert
Haven't posted in a while.... So a lot has happened this past week... United Airlines sucks. TSA sucks even more. But, Joshua Tree, now this place is worth its weight in gold. At first it was just going to be a stop through and now has consumed the whole trip. Although I will be back for Bishop in a few weeks, for now its TRAD time. The bouldering is very very stiff here and it makes you wonder about the strength of the Stonemasters.. "Uber strong, brah." With a cast like, John Bachar, John Long, Lynn Hill, and many others I can understand the sandbagging.
Joe and I have been here a week and have done a lot of the trad classics.. So much fun to get back to the sharp end. Soon, I will post a video featuring some awesome boulder problems we have done. And some other scenery from the trip.. Well, Enough for now. Time to rack up!!!

Bishop Booked
Today I finalized plans of going to Cali for two weeks. Once again, climbing and camping at world class venues in the high desert. My friend Joe Dion and I will be flying to LAX next Monday the 8th, to pick apart J-Tree and Bishop California for epic trad and bouldering opportunities. I am very thankful to travel. Cali has been very good to me over the years. The North Shore isn't going anywhere.... why not?
I traveled to Bishop last year in April and needed to go back.. It is the best. This time I have to make use of lost time. Problems will go down in a hurry. I have a lot of projects and climbs I got to do during this trip. We will be warming up at Joshua Tree National Park. This will be my sixth trip there so I should be able to show Joe the trad classics! Just writing this post sends many memories through my mind of good friends and good times spent within Ryan campground. Thank you guys. More to come...
